Good luck to Buffalo

The Buffalo Sabres and the NHL have announced they are holding their own Outdoor Hockey Game on January 1, 2008.

Good for them. Loved the game but the aura surrounding seeing Gretz, Mess and the older Habs stars stole the show. I wonder if they'll trot out old Mario.

TRIVIA TIME:

Name the current Oilers who suited up for the Heritage Classic in Edmonton.

Hint: There are nine.
Other hint: Screw you, no more hints.

Prize: you look smarter than others and it's right there in the comments for all to see. Priceless.

By the way, Keegan, thanks for the submission for Vue. We got it and hopefully we can include it.

Well Lowe suited up so did Huddy I think. Yeah thats all I got, I cant think of any other current Oiler thats been with the team scince 2003.
Glad you got the email, I am a big fan of Vue & especially In The Box.
Not too many weekly publications similar to Vue bother with hockey or any other sport.

Keep guessing. You'll kick yourself.

Souray & Garon....
So much for no more hints eh?

Do Souray and Garon count though, cuz they played for the Canadiens?
Maybe they do, because I can't think of any Oilers players that where Oilers at the time beyond the list that keegan submitted.

yeah the question just says current oilers who suited up for the classic, but doesnt ask which team they suited up for.

Correct-a-mundo.
Souray played and Garon was the backup to the toque-wearing enigma that is Jose Theodore.
Probably the fourth coolest toque in Canada - behind Bob/Doug McKenzie (1 and 2) and Relic from Beachcombers.

Nice work.

Gives you an idea of how much the team has changed in four calendar years (three seasons).

Wasn't Carter also there?

I am not sure if he was but as of the moment he is not currently an actual Oiler I dont think. Not until he signs a contract which despite my affinity for him in the day, I hope does not happen. I think some of the rookies have played way better & have way more potential then him. But that concussion may well be the end of his try out anyways.

Carter wasn't on the team that season. That year was split between the Rangers, Caps and Kings.

Nothing will ever match the outdoor game in Edmonton. Seeing the legends and then the current players, what a day!!!!
